The history and revisions of the Flag of The Confederate States of America is interesting to some. We like it as a symbol of the South and for the historical enormity of The Civil War. It's also called the Rebel or Dixie flag and sometimes incorrectly as the Stars & Bars.

The Confederate Flag (Rebel or Dixie flag) has become the most popular flag of the Confederate States of America. It actually was never the original or official flag as was the Stars & Bars. The rectangular Confederate flag was actually a variant of square Confederate battle flag and other battle flags of the CSA including the CSA Navy Jack.
The first official flag of the Confederacy, called the "Stars and Bars," was flown from March 5, 1861, to May 26, 1863.
